TextMaster Transformation Services

is a windows application which provides text file(s) data transformation and / or evaluation, MS Excel worksheets extraction into 'csv' files, MS Outlook e-mail conversion into text file (body, subject, attachments etc.), TextMaster Query Batch automation etc.

The core elements of the transformation services are tasks.
A task is a single unit of functionality associated with Microsoft Windows Directory (folder), FTP Server Directory or Microsoft Outlook folder as the data source.

After processing the files or emails from the source folders are moved to the destination folder.
The tasks can be executed as such or grouped with other tasks and then saved as jobs.
The jobs then can be executed on demand, periodically, or they can be scheduled for the execution at the certain time of day.

TM Transformation Services supports next types of tasks:

Folder Check - Files in the source folder are checked and results are logged in specified log. If profile checking was enabled further processing would take place (including TextMaster Query Batch execution). Based on the file check and profile check (if enabled) file can be moved to different destination folders.
Batch - Files from the source folder are used as a source for TextMaster Query Batch execution. Before execution, values specified in Replace table are used for query batch adjustments and batch is executed. Depending on execution results source file will be moved from source folder into another folder.
FTP Upload - Files in the source folder are checked and results are logged in specified log. If profile checking is enabled further processing will take place (including TextMaster Query Batch execution). Based on the file check and profile check (if enabled) file can be moved to different destination folders.
If file is not moved to another folder due to file check results or profiling results file will be uploaded to the FTP Server.
FTP Download - FTP Server folder is used as a source folder. After download, files are checked and results are logged in specified log. If profile checking was enabled further processing would take place (including TextMaster Query Batch execution). Based on the file check and profile check (if enabled) file can be moved to different destination folders.
Execute DLL - expand functionality of transformation services with Windows DLL (.net). Use any tool (i.e. Microsoft Visual Studio) to develop DLL and register it as task. DLL interface is very simple and flexible. Number of parameters which can be passed to the DLL is unlimited. Parameters are passed to the DLL in order they are defined in 'Mapping' section of the task setup screen.
E-Mail Notifications - send E-mail from the file containing 'from','to','attachment' values as the line items (fields). Each row (minimum one) is processed and status field updated with error message, if e-mail send process returns an error. Time stamp (date / time) field is updated with current date / time after every line is processed regardless of the outcome.
Excel - save all or some spreadsheet worksheet(s) as 'csv' files. Only 'xls' or 'xlsx' files from the source folder will be processed. Move spreadsheet from source folder to destination or error folder. Worksheets can be saved into separate folder. List of worksheets can be specified and worksheet file name is user definable. Extraction details are logged into activity log.
Outlook - Source mail box from the default inbox is scanned and components of the e-mail saved as separate file (s)) based on filtering criteria. Body, including subject line, will be saved as text file if file name is specified. Attachment(s) will be saved under provided folder if 'Save Attachment(s) ' check box is checked. E-mails which fit filtering criteria will be moved into 'Destination' Outlook folder if there are no errors encountered. If extraction fails e-mail will be moved into error folder (if specified) and e-mail will be sent to the designated e-mail address (if provided).
